Small monuments

Small monuments up to 80 cm high, despite their size, are worthy competitors to monumental tombstones and complex ritual compositions. A large selection of models allows you to find exactly what suits your tastes, fits your budget and reflects the personality of the deceased person.

Small monuments: difficulties of choice

A small monument is a slab made of natural or artificial stone. A common shape is a rectangle, but some headstones can be custom designed. In addition to traditional decorative elements – engravings, epitaphs, portraits and drawings – the top edge can be made figuratively, forming the contours of a heart, semicircle or other symbol.

Often small monuments are complemented by other elements: small sculptures, flowerpots, tombstones, miniature fences. Such compositions allow you to create a stylish and attractive memorial complex.

Decor for a small monument

In addition to the photograph of the deceased, an epitaph is placed on the monument: several phrases, a short verse or an excerpt from prose, words of prayer. To enhance the effect, the inscription can be covered with gold or any other coloring composition. Vignettes around the portrait or symbols (candle, cross, heart, etc.) applied at the top or bottom of the composition look relevant.

A bas-relief on the back or side is one way to decorate a tombstone. Traditionally, angels, mourning or praying female faces, crucifixes, and flowers are depicted.

The limited area of free space on a small monument is very demanding on the artistic taste of the designer. Our workshop employs an experienced artist who can develop a harmonious design and embody it in stone. You can place an order and ask any question you are interested in using the feedback form.

Material for small monuments

The absolute leader when creating any type of tombstone is granite. It is durable, easy to maintain and durable – the only drawback, which is more than compensated by the listed advantages, is the price.

Marble is a more intricate material, but its snow-white transparency makes it a favorite when creating sophisticated artistic images. Monuments from it are often installed on the graves of children and teenagers to emphasize their young age and express grief for those who have left the world of the living so early.

Polymer materials are of artificial origin and are slightly inferior in characteristics to natural stones. Such headstones require careful care, but with timely maintenance they will last a long time.
