Photo glass (or photo on glass) is a modern technology used for the artistic design of memorials. The image is applied to a glass base, after which the product is subjected to heat treatment (firing).
Glass is fired at lower temperatures than in the production of photoceramics. This key difference allows you to achieve significantly greater saturation and brightness of colors.
The main advantages of a portrait made on glass:
-
Format Flexibility: You can create a glass portrait of almost any size, shape and thickness (e.g. full-length, heart-shaped or up to 4 cm thick).
-
Perfect Clarity: The technology ensures high fidelity reproduction of the original image, which can be pre-processed on a computer.
-
Durability and Protection: The photoglass is sealed, which minimizes the risk of moisture and microorganisms penetrating. This makes it less exposed to the environment and increases its lifespan compared to other materials such as photoceramics.
-
Color Fastness: A portrait in glass is a reliable way to preserve memory. It does not fade, does not crack, and the clarity and saturation of colors remain unchanged even after many years.
